Directly out of the sewers and into the oven, the favorite pizzas of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are now gone! Take a very ooey, gooey, nonsensical journey influenced by the famous first animated shows including Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.  Sixty-five healthy recipes are included in this cookbook, from traditional New York-style Pepperoni to newcomers, such as Lean, Mean and Green and Shredder’s Revenge.

Description

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Cookbook by Peggy Paul Casella is a whimsical, clever, and funny book about all things pizza. The book is an illustrated journey through pizza history, featuring pizzas like the “Dino Pizza” and the “Toy Story of Pizza.” The book is full of well-researched information about pizza, including nutritional information, recipes, fun facts, and trivia. I especially liked the “What’s in your Shoe?” Trivia.

The Author Bio: Peggy Paul Casella is a photographer and artist, whose first book was written and illustrated by her husband. She has spent most of her career as a photojournalist and illustrator. After having seen and met so many great photographers and illustrators, she decided to try her hand at painting and drawing but got bored with both. She decided to learn how to draw and began teaching herself how to make art.

This book can be seen as a sequel to her love letter to pizza, The Turtle Rocks of Patxi and Mikey. It makes sense that she would have a sequel to her book, as her other books have become bestsellers, and she’s now working on a third book. She has a lot of things planned for the next book, including a detective story, and another illustrated pizza journey. If you’re interested in purchasing this book, I’d suggest you check out Amazon, or Barnes & Noble. Personally, I think this book is for people who like delicious foods, but are not necessarily foodies. This book features some of the tastiest pizza recipes I’ve ever tasted, including the “Hot Chicken Pizza,” “Thai Night Pizza,” and the “Chili Pizza.” Also, there is a visit to Japan in the book’s conclusion.
